Indoor League Rules

FIFA Rules except:

  1. No slide tackling. No sliding that may result in contact with another player. In addition a slide tackle results in a yellow card.

  2. Subs during throw-ins, goal kicks, and corners. Subbing on the fly in adult leagues only. Subs must leave the field before the other player enters.

  3. No offsides.

  4. Goalie may NOT punt or dropkick the ball over midfield. They can settle the ball on the ground then kick it over midfield. The ball may not be bouncing when it is kicked. Goalies may throw the ball over midfield. A violation results in an indirect free kick on the midfield line.

  5. A goal kick can NOT go over the midfield line.  A violation results in an indirect free kick on the midfield line. If the ball touches a player on either team before crossing the line there is no violation.

  6. Kick offs are indirect and can go forward or backwards.

  7. If the ball hits the ceiling it’s an indirect kick for the other team below where the ball hit the ceiling. If the ball hits the heater net protector it is a goal kick or corner.

  8. NO SPITTING, results in a red card.

  9. No chewing gum.

  10. A wall must be 5 yards back on a free kick.

  11. A youth yellow card results in that player being subbed. A youth red card results in ejection from the game but the team does not play down a man. Adult red card results in ejection from the game and the team plays down a mon for 5 minutes or until a goal is scored against them, whichever comes first.

  12. Running clock unless, at the referees discretion, a serious injury has occured taking several minutes to remedy.

  13. Fans and coaches can be ejected from the premises at the discretion of the referee.

  14. U6, U8, and U10 can NOT head the ball. When a player deliberately heads the ball in a game, an indirect free kick should be awarded to the opposing team from the spot of the offense. If the deliberate header occurs within the goal area, the indirect free kick should be taken on the goal area line parallel to the goal line at the point nearest to where the infringement occurred.
